History of Maas Coating

One stop shopping: that is our starting point. You can contact us for all your questions regarding surface treatment.

1934

Bicycle frames

Brothers Jan and Grad Maas established the company. They started by painting and heat curing bicycle frames.

1951

The first generation

Grad went his own way, leaving Jan to run the business

1976

The second generation

Jan's son Jan took over the company. As a born and bred pro, he grew the company.

1988

The third generation

The third generation Jan Maas joined the company. He focused on management, while his father continued on the shop floor.

1991

Relocation

We moved from the outskirts to the current location on Bosschebaan, still in the village of Heesch.

1994

Powder coating

We were among the first coating contractors to switch to powder coating, which is more environmentally friendly than wet painting.

1997

Passing of the torch

Jan, the current director, took over the company from his father. A new building and a new blasting booth were built.

1999

New name

The name Jan Maas & Zn was changed to Maas Coating Groep, which is a better fit for our ever-growing company.

2001

Largest blasting machine

Another new building was constructed, especially for the largest blasting machine in the Netherlands.

2004

Acquisitions

We took over other companies in 2004, 2010 and 2012. All three companies have since been fully integrated.

2012

Chemical preparation

We took yet another pioneering step: we were the first company in the Benelux to start with chemical surface preparation.

2022

Acquisition NTZ Nijmegen

The fourth take-over has now been finalised. NTZ will continue to operate from its current location in Nijmegen as part of our group.
